700: Portsmouth - Brighton

Updated 29th May 2017

The 700 is a frequent link along the south coast from Portsmouth to Brighton via all of the major towns and resorts. It's operated by Stagecoach under the Coastliner sub-brand.

See the full timetable on one of these sites:

The cheapest day ticket that is valid along the entire route is the Stagecoach South Dayrider Gold, valid on all Stagecoach buses across Hampshire, Wiltshire, West Sussex, Surrey and Berkshire:

  • £8.20 for an adult

If you're travelling as a family, (up to 2 adults and 3 children), then get the multi-operator Discovery ticket at £16. It's 50p cheaper than the equivalent Stagecoach Dayrider, is valid for an additional child, and is valid on the buses of several operators, not just Stagecoach.

Cheaper tickets are available if you're only going to be using part of the route. See full details on Stagecoach's website (which also has single and return ticket prices) and throughout the route listing below.
